Breakfast at Treghan is designed to be relaxed, generous and enjoyed at your own pace in the privacy of your guesthouse.
Rather than set dining times or shared breakfast rooms, guests enjoy a thoughtfully prepared selection of provisions ready for slow mornings, quiet garden views and unhurried starts to the day.
Our breakfast provisions feature a range of local and organic ingredients wherever possible, with seasonal produce selected to reflect the relaxed style of a stay in the Bay of Islands.
Included in your guesthouse are:
- Fresh artisan bread such as sourdough or German rye
- Homemade jams and marmalades
- Organic butter and organic milk
- Homemade organic muesli
- Yoghurt
- Seasonal fresh fruit
- Organic eggs
- Coffee pods with a Nespresso coffee machine
- Kerikeri Organic Teas
- Hot chocolate
- Salt, pepper and condiments
Guests may also choose to add locally cured free-range bacon when booking, creating the option for a more substantial cooked breakfast in the comfort of their own kitchen.
Additional breakfast items such as mushrooms, tomatoes or other seasonal ingredients can also be arranged on request.
Gluten-free, dairy-free and sugar-free options are available, and we are happy to cater for most dietary requirements with advance notice.
Many guests enjoying our longer stays, romantic escapes and slower winter getaways, particularly appreciate the flexibility of breakfast in their own private space – whether that means coffee on the deck overlooking the gardens, a leisurely brunch after exploring local markets and vineyards, or a quiet morning before heading out to discover the Bay of Islands.
Treghan’s breakfast provisions are designed to complement the slower rhythm of a self-contained luxury stay in Kerikeri and the Bay of Islands.
