Located within the gardens of Treghan in Kerikeri, The Little Black Gallery is a contemporary art and design gallery showcasing the work of established and emerging Northland and New Zealand artists and makers.
Founded by artist, jewellery designer and gallery owner Anna Hamilton, the gallery has represented more than 120 artists over the years and has become a destination for visitors seeking original artwork, handcrafted jewellery, ceramics, sculpture, glass, books, homewares and distinctive gifts inspired by New Zealand’s creative spirit.
The gallery reflects a long-standing passion for supporting talented artists and makers, with collections carefully selected for their quality, originality and craftsmanship. Works range from contemporary paintings and sculpture to handcrafted jewellery, ceramics, glass and unique pieces for the home.
Collections change regularly throughout the year, with new arrivals, featured artists and seasonal exhibitions ensuring there is always something new to discover. The gallery has also been involved with a number of Northland arts initiatives and exhibitions, including KOAST – Tai Tokerau Art Trail and other regional creative events.
Visitors are welcome to browse at their own pace in the relaxed gallery setting or combine a gallery visit with time spent exploring the gardens at Treghan.
