Treghan Lodge has always maintained high standards of cleanliness, guest comfort and thoughtful hospitality.

Our private, self-contained guesthouses naturally offer guests space, privacy and the ability to relax in their own environment while enjoying the Bay of Islands at a slower pace.

Each guesthouse is fully independent, with its own living areas and outdoor spaces, allowing guests to enjoy a peaceful and comfortable stay without shared guest facilities.

Treghan Surestay Programme

Because Treghan offers private, self-contained guesthouses, guests naturally enjoy a spacious and private stay.  Each guesthouse is completely independent, allowing guests to relax in their own environment with no shared guest facilities.

Our Treghan Surestay Programme supports the high standards of cleanliness and guest care that have always been part of the Treghan experience.

This includes:

  • careful cleaning and sanitising between guest stays
  • complete replacement of bed linen and bathroom towels after every stay
  • attention to high-touch guest areas
  • hand sanitiser available in guesthouses
  • additional towels and amenities available on request

Guests are welcome to contact us before arrival if they have any questions regarding their stay, wellbeing, or specific requirements.

Treghan aims to provide a calm, welcoming and relaxed environment where guests can feel comfortable and well cared for throughout their time in Kerikeri and the Bay of Islands.

Treghan Lodge has received recognition through the Tourism Export Council New Zealand COVID Ready Programme and the World Travel & Tourism Council Safe Travels programme.

Treghan is also a member of Tourism Industry Aotearoa and the Bed & Breakfast Association New Zealand.

We continue to review our practices to ensure a comfortable, safe and welcoming environment for all guests and staff.

Treghan has also received TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best recognition, reflecting consistently excellent guest feedback.

COVID-19 Information

There are currently no government requirements relating to COVID-19 in accommodation settings in New Zealand.

Guests are of course welcome to wear masks if they prefer, and we are always happy to do the same during interactions if requested.
