Your own private retreat
Each Treghan luxury guesthouse is completely private and self-contained, giving you your own living space, bedroom, kitchen facilities and outdoor areas within our two-acre garden setting.
There are no communal lounges, shared dining rooms or organised schedules. Your honeymoon is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Have breakfast when you feel like it, spend the day exploring or simply stay at Treghan and enjoy the gardens and your own space.
Explore the Bay of Islands together
Treghan boutique lodge is a wonderful base for discovering the Bay of Islands and Northland.
Explore historic Kerikeri and the Kerikeri Basin, take the ferry across to Russell, cruise among the islands, visit vineyards and galleries, walk to waterfalls or find one of the quieter beaches around the Bay.
Stay a little longer and you can venture further north to Mangōnui, Doubtless Bay and Cape Reinga, or west to the Hokianga, returning each evening to your own private retreat.
Make your honeymoon your own
There is no need to fill every day.
You might spend one day sailing among the islands, another exploring Russell or Kerikeri, and another doing very little beyond a long breakfast and a wander through the gardens.

Where is Treghan Lodge?
Treghan Lodge is in Kerikeri in the Bay of Islands, making it easy to explore Kerikeri, Waitangi, Paihia and Russell, as well as take day trips further into Northland. It is only 10 minutes from Liddington Gardens one of Northland’s favourite wedding venues.
Can we stay at Treghan if our wedding is being held somewhere else?
Yes. Couples marrying elsewhere in the Bay of Islands are very welcome to stay at Treghan. Couples and wedding parties also use our guesthouses as a private place to stay and prepare before the wedding, returning to Treghan at the end of the day.
