After a day spent exploring the Bay of Islands – or simply enjoying the gardens and quiet at Treghan – return to the comfort and privacy of the Owner’s Cottage.
This beautifully appointed one-bedroom guesthouse is fully self-contained, with sliding doors opening onto a secluded deck and private garden beyond. It’s a space designed for unwinding, with room to slow down and feel completely at ease.
The kitchenette is well equipped for preparing a relaxed evening meal for two, whether you choose to dine indoors or al fresco as the light softens and the sun sets. For nights when you prefer to be looked after, excellent restaurants and vineyard dining are close by, or a private chef can deliver dinner to your door with advance notice.
An ultra-comfortable king-size bed with luxury feather pillows (alternatives available) ensures a restful night’s sleep, followed by a leisurely morning enjoying generous breakfast provisions. Complimentary teas, plunger coffee and drinking chocolate are provided, along with plush towels, soft robes and a curated range of eco toiletries.
The Owner’s Cottage is linked to the main lodge and offers convenient parking at your private entrance, allowing you to come and go with ease while enjoying complete privacy.
Our self contained luxury accommodation includes the following amenities as standard:

- Delicious continental breakfast provisions including homemade muesli, breads and jams. Note where possible our ingredients are organic. Low sugar and gluten free options are available on request. If you would like us to provide options for a cooked breakfast in your guesthouse, just select that option when you book.
