Treghan Lodge’s Northland location places guests in the heart of one of New Zealand’s most abundant food regions. From orchard fruit and artisan produce to fresh seafood and local wines, the Bay of Islands offers wonderful flavours throughout the seasons.
At Treghan we enjoy sharing some of those tastes with our guests, while also helping you discover the excellent cafés and restaurants in Kerikeri and the surrounding Bay of Islands.

Guests enjoy generous breakfast provisions in their guesthouse, with a focus on fresh local ingredients and homemade touches. Our breakfast baskets typically include items such as organic eggs, free-range bacon, seasonal fruit, breads, preserves and homemade muesli, allowing you to enjoy a relaxed breakfast at your own pace.
Enjoy Dining in the Privacy of Your Guesthouse
Treghan offers several options that can be enjoyed privately in your guesthouse or on your deck overlooking the gardens.

For special occasions, a private chef can also prepare and deliver dinner to your guesthouse, allowing you to enjoy a restaurant-quality meal in complete privacy.

Kerikeri and the Bay of Islands have developed an excellent food scene, with a variety of cafés, vineyards and restaurants showcasing Northland produce.
Guests often enjoy exploring the relaxed daytime café culture and the superb dining choices available in the evenings. We are always happy to recommend our favourite restaurants and can make reservations on your behalf if you wish.
Restaurants can be busy, particularly on weekends, so we recommend booking in advance if you plan to arrive later in the evening.
