Treghan lodge is within easy reach of all the Bay of Island’s treasures as well as wonderful cafes, artisan food producers, and charming villages.

Treghan, with beautifully designed, luxury, self contained guesthouses, is nestled on nearly two acres of lovely secluded landscaped gardens. Some of the land is bush (to keep our Kiwi birds happy), but most is home to beautiful landscaped gardens, based on an English cottage style, which have featured in NZ House & Garden Magazine and in the 2020 NZ House and Garden Tour.

The Lodge combines luxury with a commitment to contribute towards the sustainability of our environment as well as endeavouring to minimise the impact of our property and tourism business on the planet. The environment at Treghan is tranquil, restful and beautiful and we want to make sure that coming generations continue to enjoy the property while contributing to our sustainability.

We believe that balancing the demands of protecting the planet’s environment and running a tourism business requires a real partnership. We understand that all businesses create a social and environmental impact, including Treghan but we try to minimise adverse effects by using resources sensibly, buying carefully and disposing of waste responsibly.
